Storis Releases Version 9.9 of Retail Software Platform

Retail software provider Storis has released version 9.9 of its popular software platform, continuing its pattern of providing revisions to its platform every six months.

The company said the latest revisions provide increased functionality as simultaneous development occurs across its ERP, e-commerce platform and Kiosk.

“What it takes to run a retail operation across channels is changing every day. In 9.9, we addressed key areas of functionality across our solution that help retailers manage their inventory, unified supply chain, and customer facing interactions better than ever before,” stated Dom Cosgantion, vice president of application development.

On the inventory management side, enhancements to bulk data import processes surrounding product entry, image upload, Ashley Catalog load, and EDI have been streamlined for greater efficiency. This allows clients to reduce time maintaining products and imagery for both in-store and website operations.

On the logistics side, Radio Frequency Barcode processes were enhanced to capture more detailed product information to expedite warehouse processes. Calculations for vendor lead days were extended to warehouse and store settings to optimize supply chain management. These features are increasingly important due to the competitive nature of delivery logistics, Storis officials said.

Financing capabilities are another area of focus in 9.9 that extends to POS processing and online finance applications. The ability to capture separate addresses for billing, delivery, and financing was added. Retailers can also see open balance by customer regardless of channel, enabling them to make smart financial decisions.

Also, a new revolving payment estimator allows retailers to work with their customers to compare plan and payment options to make educated decisions before confirming financing.

Realizing that special ordering configuration is a critical differentiator to merchandising in home furnishings, Storis said it enhanced upon their proven process, reducing the time it takes to upload special order options and sub-options.

On the front-end of their point of sale, retailers can more easily choose configuration options. This was achieved through a new UX design of a single, scrollable display for all options and related sub-options. Retailers can choose to add more options to their configuration menus, expanding product choices for their consumers.

And lastly, the company said its popular View and Manage Open Orders (VAMOO) process was enhanced both visually and functionally. The screen design was reconfigured for efficiency of working through orders with enhanced search, filtering and streamline grid views. Additionally, order inquiries and adjustments can be made from within the same process.

The latest release will be showcased at the next Las Vegas Market, which begins Sunday. The Storis booth is in the Home Furnishings Association’s Retail Resource Center, space B-1050.
