Located in space B-965, the 6,800-square foot showroom boasts two glass walls for maximum exposure from passersby, a lounge area with a bistro for meals, and two conference rooms for private meetings.
“Our new larger, better-designed space gives us the ability to showcase the entire breadth of our line at market,” said Bryan Smith, president and CEO. “We’ll showcase each collection in specially designed, fully accessorized bedroom vignettes that will serve as inspiration for retailers looking to display and sell Southerland products.”
“The new location gives us the needed footprint to show off our product and tell our story based on the ‘Southerland Way’ which drives our culture and commitment to do things the right way,” he added.
Throughout the showroom, Southerland will spotlight its bedding collections in vignettes highlighted by lightboxes that detail attributes of each product presentation.
Several tables and chairs are sprinkled about in the showroom to give buyers a place to pause while making their way through the space, and the company’s bistro will be open to buyers looking for a quick snack between market stops.
“We’ve designed the showroom to give our visitors exposure to the extensive Southerland line, while being mindful we have a lot to absorb. The seating throughout allows for a decompression zone, which would also work in a well-planned retail showroom,” Smith said.
Based in Nashville, Tenn., Southerland also has factories in Cleveland, Phoenix and Oklahoma City.
