Kingsdown, Hooker Furniture Launch Co-Branded Mattress Line

Hooker Furniture (NASDAQ: HOFT) has partnered with mattress producer Kingsdown for a co-branded mattress line that will be sold with the furniture company’s bedroom collections.

Called Hooker Furniture by Kingsdown, the exclusively designed mattress collection features upper-end models with 11-, 13- and 15-inch profiles, including firm and plush options on the 15-inch model.

Classically styled and handcrafted using natural materials, other features include thick layers of soft, breathable cotton and wool that wick away moisture and regulate body temperature, while resilient latex and individually wrapped coils provide pressure relief and body contouring support. The silhouettes are finished with elegant Belgian damask covers that are hand-tufted and woven with silk.

“With our shared commitment to luxury, craftsmanship and quality, joining forces with Kingsdown was a natural fit,” said Steve Lush, president of Hooker case goods. “Both of our companies share a long history of quality and longevity, two adjectives that not only describe our companies, but also the products that we offer.” 

The company said the mattresses will be shipped directly from Hooker Furniture’s distribution center in Martinsville, Va.

“We’ve received great feedback from our interior design sales channel as well as our smaller, independent retail partners,” said Jeremy Hoff, president of Hooker Upholstery. “Because the mattresses ship directly from us, complete with other furniture items in their orders, the program provides both shipping and merchandising conveniences.”
