Vegas Market, Surfaces Offer Shuttle Between January Event Sites

Las Vegas Market has formed a new partnership with the International Surface Event for the group’s three January 2018 trade shows.

Under the new agreement, a free continuous shuttle will run on Tuesday, Jan. 30 and Wednesday, Jan. 31 between the World Market Center and the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, site of the Surfaces, StonExpo and TileExpo shows.

The Winter 2018 Las Vegas Market runs Jan. 28-Feb.1 at World Market Center, and The International Surface Event is Jan. 29-Feb. 1 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.

Las Vegas Market officials said the shows at Mandalay Bay are the premier events for the floor coverings, stone and tile industries, and the partnership should provide educational, networking and cross-shopping opportunities for retailers and designers attending the Las Vegas Market.

“Las Vegas Market is pleased to collaborate with The International Surface Event and its three major floor coverings trade shows – Surfaces, StonExpo/Marmomac and TileExpo – to provide visitors to both events with new shopping opportunities within related merchandise categories,” said Dorothy Belshaw, president of gift leasing and chief marketing officer at International Market Centers. “Cooperation between our two events will afford retailers and interior designers with access to Las Vegas Market’s 4,000-plus furniture, gift and home décor resources, as well as some 800 top floor covering brands exhibiting at TISE.”

“Additionally, this partnership will bring more visitors to Las Vegas Market, providing our tenants with new potential sources of business, new channels of retail distribution and new connections with buyers,” she added. “As the leading furniture, home decor and gift destination in the western United States, Las Vegas Market is committed to providing our customers with value-added services that increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the market experience.”

Registration is free, but buyers and designers will have to register separately for the two events.
