Importer Recalls 6,200 Mattresses Sold on Amazon.com

Mattress supplier Superior Importers has recalled about 6,200 mattresses sold by Amazon.com that do not meet the federal flammability standard.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission said the recall involves mattresses sold under the Home Life brand name between May 2016 and May 2017. They were sold in twin, full, queen and king sizes.

The agency said consumers should immediately stop using the recalled mattresses and contact Superior Importers or Amazon for instructions on receiving a free mattress cover that would bring the product in compliance with the federal standard.

The mattresses were produced in China by Abest Technology Co. and imported by Superior, which is based in New Brunswick, N.J.

No incidents or injuries have been reported, according to CPSC.

Consumers can contact Superior at 833-502-2500 from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, or by email at Superiorimporters@gmail.com.
