Rent-to-own major Rent-A-Center (NASDAQ: RCII) has promoted two key executives in its Acceptance Now division, Chris Crocker and Andy Bittinger.
Crocker has been promoted from divisional vice president to executive vice president of Acceptance Now, while Bittinger has assumed Crocker’s former post as divisional vice president.
Rent-A-Center’s Acceptance Now unit offers rent-to-own kiosks in traditional retail stores – including many furniture stores – for consumers who can’t qualify for traditional financing.
Crocker began his career at Rent-A-Center in 2005 as a district manager. In 2009 he was promoted to the director of business development and one year later, he helped spearhead Acceptance Now.
“Chris’s track record of leading people and delivering strong results makes him the ideal person to lead our Acceptance Now operations,” said Joel Mussat, chief operating officer at Rent-A-Center.
Bittinger began his career at Rent-A-Center as a store manager in 2000 and was promoted to district manager in 2005. As regional director he oversaw eight district managers in more than 80 locations in Georgia and South Carolina. He will report to Crocker.
“Andy brings extensive knowledge of the Acceptance Now business model and successful experience from his years as regional director, which will help lead ANOW into the future,” said Crocker.
