Washington D.C.-based Framebridge, a three-year-old custom framing startup, has partnered with design icon Nate Berkus who will serve as creative advisor and investor.
In his role as creative advisor, Berkus will leverage his deep interior design knowledge and expert taste to help conceptualize and develop new product offerings and collections. He will also work with the Framebridge team to guide company strategy around innovation, design and partnerships.
To kick off, Berkus is supporting the company's 2017 holiday campaign focused on meaningful gifting.
"When you find a company that is doing something really well, and has smart people running it, that's interesting to me," Berkus said.
"It was an opportunity to be part of a brand that is transforming the category. Framebridge is such an innovative company. They saw a gap in the market, and stepped in to offer the very best framing solutions, at a great price point."
Framebridge makes it easy and affordable for consumers to custom frame the things they love by offering a curated selection of on-trend frame styles. Customers can upload their photos on the Framebridge website, or ship their items directly to Framebridge in prepaid packaging, to be framed to their specifications. Pricing is determined by the size of each item and begins at $39. Free shipping is included.
In his advisory role at Framebridge, Berkus will draw on his design experience as Framebridge continues to develop new product collections that are trend-driven.
"Nate has genuinely found a way to make high style and impeccable design accessible to everyone, which of course is the motivation behind Framebridge," said Susan Tynan, founder and CEO, Framebridge.
"He will help Framebridge reach more people through incredible product offerings and a powerful message about framing the meaningful items that tell your story. I am so proud to have him on board for our next phase of growth."
