ITA Enlists Fashion Snoops for Trend Forecasting

The International Textile Alliance, which organizes the twice-yearly Showtime fabric fair, is partnering with global creative agency Fashion Snoops to provide trend forecasting for its members.

ITA said the new agreement will provide ITA members with greater access to the timeliest directional information for the home industries. Exclusive trend forecasts will appear in the bi-annual issues of Showtime magazine and Fashion Snoops will present these trend directions at a presentation at Showtime market.

“We’re very excited to be working with an organization as innovative and well-respected as Fashion Snoops,” said Catherine Morsell, executive director of ITA. “Our members are excited to have this new resource and will use these insights on cultural influences, color directions and consumer behavior to help guide their product development, merchandising and marketing efforts.”

“Textiles are at the forefront of everything Home, we really feel like trends start with fabric directions,” said Jaye Anna Mize, vice president of creative for home interiors and design at Fashion Snoops. “We couldn’t be happier to formalize this relationship with ITA and the Showtime market, and are excited to share the insights of our Spring 2019 forecasts.”

Attendees of the upcoming Showtime market, Dec. 3-6, can attend Mize’s presentation on Tuesday, Dec. 5 at 2 p.m. in the presentation area of the Suites at Market Square.

She will share Fashion Snoops’ look into Spring 2019, and explore the evolution between key product trends, how the consumer behavior shifts of today validate the design, and trends to buy into at market.

A preview of the presentation is now available in the “Showtime Trends by Fashion Snoops” feature in the newest issue of Showtime magazine, which can be found online at http://internationaltextilealliance.org/showtime/showtime-magazine/.
