Fill Station, a kiosk program that allows consumers to build customized pillows in retail stores, has opened its first location in Canada.
Officials said the newest Fill Station pillow kiosk has been installed at John’s Bedroom Barn in Nanaimo, British Columbia. The retailer joins Fill Station’s 30 pillow kiosks in the United States.
“We’re excited to have John’s Bedroom Barn as our first international partner,” said Vannie Morisey, vice president of sales and marketing for Fill Station. “We know their customers are looking for personalized products that enable better, more restful sleep, and that’s just what John’s Bedroom Barn will be able to provide with the Fill Station Pillow Kiosk in their store.”
Fill Station enables people to make, refill, or remake customized pillows from scratch. First-time customers select the size of their cotton pillow shell (available in Standard, Queen, and King with options for children) and then create their own custom level of support and comfort by choosing any combination of Super Soft Poly Foam, Buckwheat Hulls, Shredded Memory Foam, Shredded Latex and/or Goose Down.
Customers also can choose from an assortment of pillow covers and protectors to meet their needs, and can even purchase aromatherapy pillow sprays made from 100 percent pure, natural, aromatic compounds carefully extracted from plants for a better night’s sleep.
Not only is there a wide variety of options available to customers, but Morisey said Fill Station offers a five-year guarantee. And in the five-years after purchase, a customer can return to any kiosk for an annual re-fluffing and adjustment.
“Fill Station has been so well received throughout the U.S, and we can’t wait to see the response in Canada,” said Fill Station founder Arthur Watkins. “People are increasingly looking for products that are customized for their needs. Through Fill Station, brick and mortar stores are being enabled to provide those kinds of products while building relationships with those customers.”
