Bob’s Discount Furniture plans to enter the highly competitive Los Angeles market in a big way next year by opening six stores simultaneously on Feb. 15.
On that day, the furniture retailer will be cutting the ribbon at its new locations in Baldwin Park, Huntington Beach, LA-Mid-Town, Long Beach, West Hills and Valencia.
"Bob's Discount Furniture was founded on the principles of honesty and integrity," said Bob Kaufman, co-founder and president emeritus of the retailer. "Our growth into the Los Angeles market marks an exciting new chapter for Bob's. We are looking forward to changing the way customers experience furniture shopping."
Bob's currently has 89 stores in 15 states across the East Coast, Mid-Atlantic and Midwest, after adding more than a dozen new stores in the past year alone. In addition to the six new stores in Los Angeles, the furniture retailer has three others set to open on the same day in Pennsylvania and Virginia.
To celebrate its entrance into the Los Angeles market, Bob’s is selecting local shelters with help from The Pajama Program to participate in Bobs' Shelter Shopping Trips, where members are invited to privately shop free of charge for their desired furnishings.
In addition to charitable partnerships with March of Dimes and Autism Speaks, Bob's is a partner of the Los Angeles Chargers and the official furniture store of the Los Angeles Galaxy soccer club.
