Mill Village Showrooms to Host 3 Design Presentations During Fall Market

Three presentations at the Mill Village showrooms are expected to draw residential and hospitality designers to the historic area during next week’s High Point Market. Topics will include global product trends, acoustic considerations for interior design, and a look at the most relevant materials for designing in the future.

Sunday, Oct. 15, from 6 – 7 p.m., global trends expert Patti Carpenter will present emerging international trends in color, print, surface design and materials, with a focus on their influence on the current U.S. home furnishings industry. Carpenter is global trends ambassador for Maison & Objet in Paris.
Monday, Oct. 16, from 12 - 2 p.m., Mill Village Collective exhibitor and acoustic product design specialists BuzziSpace will sponsor this CEU-accredited event featuring certified acoustics expert Daniel Verlooven in a presentation titled “Demystifying Acoustics for Interior Design.” Lunch is provided, along with a guided tour of Mill Village Collective following the presentation.
Monday, Oct. 16, from 5 - 6 p.m., Executive Vice President of Research for Materials ConneXion, Dr. Andrew H. Dent will present, “The Future of Materials Selection: How we will assess and specify materials next year, five years on and a generation from now.”
All events take place in the Mill Village showroom building, a restored, former textile mill located at 1014 Mill Ave. Onsite parking is available, or attendees may use High Point Market’s free Go Anywhere shuttle service.
