Nourison to Unveil Christopher Guy Rug Line in October

Rug and home accents manufacturer Nourison has entered into a partnership with luxury home furnishings designer Christopher Guy to produce a luxurious collection of handmade area rugs that will debut at next month’s High Point Market.
Officials said The Christopher Guy Area Rug Collection by Nourison will have 38 handmade area rugs, woven from the finest fibers such as New Zealand Wool, silk and mohair. Each rug is designed with Christopher Guy Harrison’s signature look, fusing classic and contemporary elements and completes the Christopher Guy lifestyle.
The company said each rug is a work of art and will make a statement in many upscale interior spaces.
“To enhance the CG lifestyle collection there was a need for me to design beautiful rugs based on my own personal interpretation of how Coco Chanel's home may have looked like if she were with us today” said Harrison, founder and CEO of Christopher Guy. “Nourison is a giant in our industry, whose craftsmanship and quality is second to none, and therefore creates the perfect partnership for Christopher Guy.”
At market, the rugs will be shown in both the Nourison showroom, space 101 of the IHFC Interhall, and Christopher Guy’s freestanding showroom building at 129 S. Hamilton St.
“Christopher’s unique vision has created some of the most beautiful and elegant pieces in the home furnishings industry,” said Alex Peykar, principal at Nourison. “His inspiration helped us create gorgeous area rugs, with texture and depth to compliment and accent his home lifestyle collections.”
