Grand Funk, Casey James Headline October Market Entertainment

James, whose music ranges from country to blues, will take the stage on Saturday, Oct. 14, while Grand Funk will appear on Sunday, Oct. 15

Doors open for both concerts at 7 p.m. at Center Stage, which is located between the market’s Transportation Terminal and the Showplace showroom building. Early entry for market attendees with a buyer’s pass is available at 6:45 p.m.

Grand Funk’s tenure at the top of the charts turned out 19 hit singles, eight Top 40 entries, and two number one smashes, “Locomotion” and the iconic, “We’re An American Band.” The group has 13 gold and 10 platinum records to its credit.

Rising to popularity as he sang his way into the finals of American Idol in 2010, James continued his commercial success with the 2012 Top 15 country single, “Crying On A Suitcase.” The music James loves most, though, is the blues, as evidenced by his most recent album, “Strip It Down.”

Complimentary food and drinks are provided to all market-goers with a Fall Market pass and photo ID. No one under the age of 15 will be admitted.
