Libby Langdon Featured on Latest ASFD Podcast, YouTube Video

Libby Langdon, an interior designer, author and the creative force behind New York-based Libby Langdon Interiors, is the featured guest on the newest episode of “Design Between the Lines,” a podcast and YouTube series from the American Society of Furniture Designers.

Her discussion with ASFD Executive Director John Conrad focuses on the unique journey Langdon took to becoming a designer, how creating a lifestyle brand can be a powerful asset, and her advice to students starting out in the home furnishings industry.

During the interview, Langdon reminisces about growing up in High Point, N.C., where she was inspired by the work of a father in the textiles business, and a mother in design. She also provides insight into how she has evolved into one of the fastest-growing home furnishings brands in the industry, addressing the various components of her company, her design process and experiences working with manufacturers.

“As a product designer, Libby designs licensed collections for a variety of leading companies, including Braxton Culler, Crystorama, Bradburn Gallery, and most recently, outdoor furniture maker NorthCape,” Conrad said. “As an interior designer, her residential and commercial projects are winning widespread fans and industry acclaim.

“Libby understands how people want to live today, and her design aesthetic is driven by near-daily conversations with consumers. With a great sense of humor, energy and enthusiasm, her realistic and down-to-earth point of view is readily apparent throughout our interview and her anecdotes are very entertaining.”
