Surya to Open Year-Round Showrooms in Chicago, Six Other Cities
As part of a regional expansion strategy, rug and home décor resource Surya is set to open seven year-round design showrooms across the country during the next 12 months.
Surya, which currently operates year-round showrooms at the Dallas Market Center and AmericasMart in Atlanta, said the additional showrooms will bring the company and its extensive product line closer to its customers and the design community.
“Our goal is to simplify the accessories buying experience for our customers, so we want to make our products more accessible to them,” said Satya Tiwari, president of Surya. “Our new state-of-the-art showrooms will provide a one-stop shop for accessories, where customers can experience our products on their own schedule, as often as they like. We have been collaborating with our customers and the design community at large over the last few months to develop the concept and plan for our new showrooms.”
The first of the new showrooms will open in September in the Design Center at Chicago’s Merchandise Mart, and three others will be open by the end of the year.
In addition to Chicago, showrooms will be in Boston, Denver, Miami, Los Angeles, New York City and San Francisco.
Surya will feature its full rug line in each new showroom, as well as best sellers from each of the other product categories in its portfolio. The company said the new showrooms will be designed to inspire and inform visitors, featuring the latest trends and artfully curated vignettes.
Designers will also have access to a design library and a robust sample checkout program, and the company said the spaces will be equipped with all the products, resources and technology needed to facilitate the design process.
They are intended to serve as a collaborative space for designers to work with their clients and bring their design ideas to life, Tiwari said.
