The company, a mainstay in RTA office, entertainment and storage products, said its new bedroom collection is patterned after the popular Somerset office collection.
“We based the line on our existing Somerset office collection, one of our best sellers for a number of years,” said Joe Ruedinger, director of design. “It has a contemporary, broad appeal and is very on trend with this finish. A warm gray finish is extremely popular in homes today.”
The line includes a mirror, queen- or full-size headboard, chest of drawers, six-drawer dresser, and nightstand. Approximate retail price for the complete bedroom is $1,159.
The products are being manufactured at Bush’s factory in Jamestown, N.Y., and will be featured in its Las Vegas Market showroom, space A-1036.
He said Somerset’s dressers and chests include a drawer interlock mechanism to prevent multiple drawers from opening at once, offset front feet for added stability, counterweight back panels, and a tip-over restraint for anchoring to the wall.
He said the products exceed the ASTM-F2057-14 stability standard to reduce the risk of tip over, noting the company used a 70-pound test weight instead of the prescribed 50 pounds.
“We wanted to create a product people wouldn’t have to worry about. We’re really trying to go above and beyond in living up to Bush’s standards for safety and quality,” said Ruedinger.
