Ethan Allen (NYSE: ETH) has opened a flagship Design Center in the Buckhead retail district of Atlanta that features an urban esthetic and state-of-the-art design services.
The 12,000 square-foot facility is Ethan Allen’s fifth Design Center in the Atlanta area, and includes an open floor plan with touchscreen-equipped workstations that allow clients to work on projects independently or with a design consultant.
The company said the layout is an expression of Ethan Allen's vision to go beyond the traditional furniture store by creating full-scale design resource centers.
"Our new Design Centers keep the best of our history — extraordinary craftsmanship and style — while incorporating in-store technology, fashion-forward styles that fit our clients' twenty-first-century lifestyles, and the free help of our design professionals to make sure clients always get the solutions they need,” said Kathy Bliss, vice president of Ethan Allen’s Mid-Atlantic retail division.
In addition to being outfitted with cutting-edge technology, Bliss said the Buckhead Design Center features the company’s latest product offerings, including Ethan Allen I Disney and custom quick-ship furnishings. This fall, she said Buckhead will unveil Ethan Allen's newest line of products, which blend timeless style with a modern, global vibe.
"We see every Design Center opening as an opportunity to expand on what we do best," said Farooq Kathwari, chairman, president, and CEO, "and what truly differentiates Ethan Allen is the quality of our customer experience. Ethan Allen is more than a furniture company, although our craftsmanship has earned a longstanding reputation for quality. We also offer complimentary design consultations with some of the area's most skilled, experienced, and creative designers."
The new Design Center is in the Lennox marketplace, across from Phillips Plaza.
