Italian fashion house Gucci, under the creative leadership of Alessandro Michele, announced the launch of Gucci Décor a collection of furniture and decorative pieces featuring the house’s design motifs, patterns and codes.
In a press release, the line is described as “an eclectic collection of items with which customers can dress their own spaces.” The release also said, “The collection of items for interiors is also intended to allow for a flexible and personal approach to decoration, bringing an accent of Gucci’s contemporary romanticism into the home.”
The line will include cushions, candles, chairs, screens, wallpaper, metal trays, and metal folding tables. The folding tables, “epitomize Michele’s imaginative notion that if you make pieces easily moveable, you can constantly dress and re-dress your environment,” Gucci said.
Instragram posts from the house included details on a Liguarian Chiavari chair crafted from wood with a lacquered red finish, featuring a velvet upholstered cushion embroidered with a cat head, and clusters of flowers saying, “The intricate motifs are embroidered and then hand-applied, a process that takes approximately 10 hours to complete.”
Designed by Michele, Gucci Decor will be launching in September and will be available to purchase online at Gucci.com and in select Gucci and specialty stores.
