Millennials may bear some of the blame for what ails the furniture industry, but Home Furnishings Business has identified 40 Millennials who are doing everything they can to keep the industry thriving for decades to come.
This select group – the 2017 Forty Under 40, sponsored by Storis – will be making decisions that affect the course of the industry long after today’s movers and shakers have moved on. Many of their names are not widely recognizable now, but don’t expect that to be the case much longer.
The prestigious list, selected by the Home Furnishings Business judges from nominations made by readers, is a diverse group that ranges from a first-generation Bulgarian immigrant to fourth-generation retail family.
“We had a record number of nominations this year, and the achievements of every nominee was truly remarkable,” said Bob George, publisher and editor-in-chief of Home Furnishings Business. “This Forty Under 40 list represents the best and brightest young people our industry has to offer. We congratulate them on their accomplishments in the industry and in the communities they serve.”
Profiles and photos of each person (including three teams that made the list) will appear in HFB’s July/August print issue, which will be available in late July and distributed at the Las Vegas Market. A slideshow will be available soon on the magazine’s website, www.hfbusiness.com.
