Surya Instagram Contest Highlights Products, Coordinating Apparel

Surya LogoRug and home décor resource Surya is launching an Instagram contest this week that requires entrants to post a photo of a Surya product that coordinates with the outfit they are wearing.

The contest, called #TrendingWithSurya, is timed to coordinate with the Atlanta Gift and Home Furnishings Market, which begins today at AmericasMart. The market ends July 18, but the contest lasts through July 31.

“Our product development team is always monitoring current trends and anticipating future ones,” said Satya Tiwari, president of Surya. “It is important for our products to reflect both timeless designs as well as the most cutting-edge looks, and the #TrendingWithSurya contest is a perfect way to show that we are accomplishing just that.”

Contestants must post a photo on Instagram showing their outfit with the coordinating Surya product, using the #TrendingWithSurya hashtag in the caption. In addition, the @suryasocial Instagram account must be tagged in the post.

Two winners will be selected by an in-house panel of judges based on the similarity of the participant’s outfit to the Surya product and overall creativity. Winners will be announced on or about Aug. 7 on Surya’s Facebook pages. The first-place winner will receive a 5' x 8' Surya rug of their choice, and the runner-up will receive a pair of Surya pillows of their choice. Some restrictions apply to the prize selection.

There is no limit on the number of entries per Instagram account. Instagram users agree to allow Surya to use their photo(s) as it pertains to the #TrendingWithSurya contest. The contest closes on July 31 at 11:59 p.m. ET.
