Palliser Adds Case Goods with Acquisition of Casana

The acquisition, which is expected to close June 30, makes Palliser Furniture Holdings the largest furniture manufacturer and supplier in Canada. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
"This acquisition allows Palliser Furniture Holdings to present a complete lifestyle of products, including a variety of price points and design aesthetics, making us more effective at meeting the needs of our customers," said Peter Tielmann, president.
He said each brand will be operated by a dedicated leadership team that “will enhance Palliser's market opportunity and benefit from synergies across the entire furniture group.”
The company said Roger Friesen, who had been president of Casana and is a former Palliser executive, has been named executive vice president of business development at Palliser Furniture Holdings. In this role, his primary responsibility is to facilitate growth and development across the Palliser Furniture Group of companies.
Reece Tomlinson has been named to replace Friesen as president of Casana Furniture. Previously, Tomlinson was CEO of Intraline Medical Aesthetics PTE Ltd.
Friesen and Tomlinson will report to Tielmann.
