The donation, part of an ongoing partnership between PureCare and Saint Peter’s, helped 16 orphanage residents, who will be allowed to take their sleep products with them when they leave the facility for a more permanent living arrangement.
“This is the perfect contribution for our boys. Some of these boys have never owned their own bedding,” said Melody Johansson, program administrator for Saint Peter’s. “PureCare offers a sleep package that now belongs to the boy. This helps us fulfill our mission, which is to provide a home-like environment with professionally managed therapeutic care, tailored to each young man’s needs.”
Therapedic’s donation consisted of 16 Agility bed-in-a-box mattress.
“We were proud to be part of helping children in need,” said Gerry Borreggine, CEO of Therapedic. “Thanks to the PureCare team and Saint Peter’s reaching out to us. It really was an honor for us to be part of this.”
Sean Bergman, PureCare’s chief marketing officer, said the donation is the first step in launching a larger philanthropic arm of charitable outreach for the company.
“This is an ongoing relationship with Saint Peter’s, and one that is near and dear to my heart,” Bergman said. “While we participate in different philanthropic endeavors annually, our partnership with Saint Peter’s has allowed us the unique opportunity to make some small difference in the lives of a few of our community members in need, and at the same time, gave PureCare associates a chance to learn about the fantastic mission that Saint Peter’s serves. We were able to experience first - hand the amazing environment that they create.”
