New Serta Ad Campaign Urges Consumers to ‘Declare Peace’
Serta has launched an advertising and marketing campaign in which the mattress producer urges consumers to “Declare Peace” by making time to relax and rejuvenate.
The new campaign, which will feature ads on various broadcast and digital networks, including select Spotify channels, kicked off yesterday in New York City. The company teamed up with actress Jamie-Lynn Sigler to invite people to visit a relaxing bedroom setting amidst the city’s busy streets.
"It's no surprise that we are busier and more stressed out than ever before and our ability to sleep is suffering as a result," said Andrew Gross, executive vice president of marketing at Serta. "We're passionate about Declare Peace because the bedroom is the calmest place around, and the mattress is at the heart of it. At Serta, we work to bring technology and comfort together, so everyone can find a mattress that's just right for them to create a bedroom sanctuary of their own."
The campaign cites a recent National Sleep Foundation poll that found Americans are experiencing unrest and discomfort at record levels due to our always-on culture.
“With nearly half of Americans claiming they spend less than one hour per day feeling at peace and relaxed, Serta is reminding everyone that there's no better place than the bedroom to find complete comfort, whether it's for 15 minutes or a full night's sleep,” Gross added.
Through June 16, consumers can join Serta by visiting DeclarePeace.com and using #SertaPeace on Instagram or Twitter to share how they'll take time out to relax and reclaim their bedroom. Those who join are also entered for a chance to win the grand prize of a serene, tranquil bedroom makeover, as well as weekly comforting prizes including mattresses, pillows, blankets, sheets and more.
"Between work, travels and being a mom, my days are busy and overwhelming – and it can be really challenging to press pause and be in the moment," said Sigler. "I am excited to partner with Serta to remind us that we all need to make time to find peace, relax and rejuvenate. And there's no better place to do that than in the comfort of your own bed."
