Canadian Furniture Show Sets ‘Lunch and Learn’ Series

Award-winning designer and television personality Sarah Richardson, researcher David Coletto and Canadian retailer Kimmberly Capone will headline the “Lunch and Learn” speaker series at this month’s Canadian Furniture Show, set for May 26-28 at the International Centre in Toronto.

Richardson, the host and co-producer of eight HGTV lifestyle series, will speak at 12 noon May 26, while Coletto, the founder of Abacus Data and an expert on Canadian Millennials, will speak at noon May 27.

Capone, who took over her family’s struggling home décor store, Treasures, and made it a part of Kimmberly Capone Interior Design, will speak at noon May 28.

The Canadian Home Furnishings Awards Gala begins at 5:30 p.m. on May 25, the evening before the show’s official opening. The event will include the new RSP Awards, which recognize sales professionals throughout Canada’s home furnishings industry.

The show, which is owned and produced by the Quebec Furniture Manufacturers Assn., had about 7,000 attendees and 230 exhibitors in 2016.
