Solid wood case goods and custom upholstery recourse Kincaid has added 74 retailers to its Kincaid Shoppe format this year, and the company said it will continue to seek additional dealers for the interactive, in-store program.
Through space-saving displays and educational information and customization, retailers will benefit from Kincaid Shoppe’s ability to educate consumers as they browse and increase sales-per-foot, according to Kincaid officials.
With a creative approach to furniture display and an innovative touch screen computer system, the Shoppe helps the retailer in showcasing Kincaid’s custom furniture options while bringing the entire catalog to the consumer’s fingertips, said Max Dyer, vice president of marketing for Kincaid.
“The Kincaid Shoppe is the first in the industry to make significant advancements in technology on retail floor displays,” said Dyer. “The Shoppe helps consumers feel comfortable with their fabric choices, and simplifies the process of finding and purchasing the best furniture for their home.”
Space-saving features include its patent-pending headboard rack, which showcases seven solid wood headboard options in the space of one bed. The Kincaid Shoppe also includes dining table racks, nightstand racks, upholstery and case goods displays, all featuring multiple styles for easy comparison and selection.
A new and improved version of ShoppeLink, the software used on the Kincaid Shoppe touchscreen, provides accurate product information to the consumer and sales associate at the point of sale. In addition to up-to-date pricing, upholstery combinations and product availability, the ShoppeLink system now incorporates visual home designs, which allow consumers to quickly envision different styles in their home through brief, high-definition videos.
