Chromcraft Revington Douglas Inds., a bedroom, dining room and occasional furniture resource, has purchased a 345,000 square-foot factory and distribution center in Sardis, Miss.
The new facility is 14 miles south of Senatobia, Miss., the location of the former Chromcraft casual dining factory and warehouse. It is centrally located off Interstate 55, just south of Memphis, Tenn.
Company officials said the move to the new location should be completed in 30 to 45 days.
At the Sardis site, the company will produce the Chromcraft casual dining line, and warehouse the imported Cochrane, Douglas and Peters-Revington lines, said CRD President Dana Steele.
“This purchase enables us to secure our current brands while giving us the ability to expand into other product categories down the road,” said Steele.
In addition to Chromcraft, CRD markets bedroom and dining room furniture under the Cochrane brand, casual dining under the Douglas brand, and occasional furniture under the Peters-Revington brand.
CRD also warehouses the Cochrane and Douglas brands in Ontario, Calif., to service West Coast dealers.
