Pleasant Mattress Promotes Cooley to New Sales Post

West Coast bedding manufacturer Pleasant Mattress has promoted Kevin Cooley to field sales manager, responsible for managing the company’s sales team.
Previously, he had served in the role of territory manager for the company’s Los Angeles and Orange County territory.
Cooley, who has been with the company for more than three years, was named 2016 Sales Representative of the Year. In his new position, he reports to Mike Moore, director of sales and marketing.
“As our business continues to grow, we are turning to an experienced sales leader to work with Mike to further develop our relationships with new and existing customers. We have a lot of confidence in Kevin based on his outstanding performance in opening new accounts and building strong relationships,” said Rion Morgenstern, president and CEO of Pleasant Mattress.
In addition to his position with Pleasant Mattress, Cooley is a published author of “Free Bird,” a novel about a U.S. Marine and his K-9 companion based in Baghdad.
Based in Fresno, Calif., Pleasant Mattress, formerly Cannon Sleep Products, is an independent, family-owned producer of traditional mattresses, specialty sleep products and futons. The company also is a licensee of the Spring Air brand.
