Spring Air to Coordinate Condolences for Rick Robinson

Spring Air President Rick Robinson, who died unexpectedly Dec. 19 of natural causes, will be remembered in a private family ceremony in Jacksonville, Fla., this week.
Robinson’s family has requested that condolences take the form of cards and include a description or memory of Robinson. The cards should be sent to Spring Air International, 70 Everett Ave., Suite 507, Chelsea, Mass., 02150. The company will forward all mail to the Robinson family.
Robinson, 60, had been president of Spring Air since 2009, and had worked in the mattress industry for more than 30 years.
Before joining Spring Air, Robinson served as chief marketing officer for A.H. Beard, the Australian-based mattress producer of multiple bedding brands.
Before that, he was senior vice president of marketing for Consolidated Bedding – the former Spring Air corporate entity -- from 2005-06. For eight years prior to that, he was president and chief operating officer of Nature’s Rest Marketing LLC.
From 1982 to 1996, Robinson held senior corporate sales and marketing positions at Restonic and Serta.
Spring Air said Nick Bates, the company’s vice president, will retain that title but assume Robinson’s responsibilities in the interim.
