Select Comfort Provides Beds for HGTV Dream Home

Bedding manufacturer and retailer Select Comfort (NYSE:SCSS), maker of the Sleep Number bed, is supplying beds for the 2017 HGTV Dream Home, which is on St. Simons Island, Ga.

The company said a king-size i8 bed has been installed in the master bedroom, while a queen-size m7 bed is in the guest bedroom. The home’s terrace bedroom has a full size p5 bed.

The beds are equipped with many features aimed at individualizing sleep experiences, including Sleep IQ technology and DualAir technology, which allows the comfort, firmness and support on each side of the bed to be adjusted individually at the touch of a button.

Integrated into the bed, Sleep IQ technology is a touch-free, biometric sensor technology that tracks the heart and breathing rate, presence and restfulness hundreds of times per second and each morning provides a SleepIQ score.

SleepIQ technology also connects to select applications such as Fitbit, Apple Health and Nest. Based on SleepIQ sleepers’ individual data and daily activity, the technology will learn the sleeper’s routine, and use adaptive algorithms and predictive modeling to recommend adjustments to daily habits and environment for the best night’s sleep.

The 3,200-square-foot HGTV Dream Home is being officially unveiled Thursday and will be heavily promoted throughout January and February, when a lucky winner will be awarded the fully furnished home, a new Honda Pilot, and $250,000 cash.
