ASID Launches Material Connexion Library

The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) has launched a Material Connexion Library at the Society’s new headquarters in Washington DC.

Launched in partnership with the American Chemistry Council the library houses over 300 samples to aid design professional in specifying materials and is segmented into multiple categories including metals, polymers, process, naturals, carbon-based, ceramics, and glass.

According to Andrew Dent, vice president of library and materials research at Material ConneXion “the key aspect was offering a selection of materials beyond the standard palette for interior design that could promote a healthier interior environment.”
