Connie Post Teams with Moe’s Home Collection for Merchandising Program

Retail strategist and designer Connie Post has teamed with Moe’s Home Collection to create a merchandising program for decorative accessories and furniture that will be unveiled later this month at the High Point Market.

Called Connie Post Select, the color-based merchandising program will be displayed in the Moe’s Home Collection showroom, space D-430 of the International Home Furnishings Center.

According to Post, the new collaboration expands her female-driven, product design aesthetic into total home concepts.

The debut collection showcases on-trend color and style stories within Moe’s line of lifestyle furnishings (encompassing bedroom, dining and living room) in merchandising presentations with tabletop and metal sculptures, wall décor, lighting, area rugs, accent pillows, a color-coordinated accent chair and accents like bookcases, bars and stools, ottomans and carts.

“Our goal is to enable retailers to present consumers with a visually stimulating shopping experience that allows them to choose from completely decorative room vignettes created for them by a professional designer,” Post said.

Bill Carpenter, vice president of sales at Moe’s Home Collection, got the conversation started said Moe Samieian, Jr., president of the company’s wholesale division.

“We have a very strong decorative accessory line-up across all categories and we were looking for a way to make shopping and merchandising the line easier for our dealers,” Samieian said. “Bill suggested that we talk to Connie and we quickly realized her experience and understanding of the way consumers shop today would be the perfect fit.”

While Moe’s Home Collection is known to most as a wholesale entity with a knack for appealing to fashion-savvy Millennial shoppers, the company sprang from retail roots and continues to operate successful West Coast stores, as well as a newly launched franchise initiative.

“Connie’s vast experience and reputation in store design brings us a lot of credibility,” Carpenter said. “She’s a great asset.”

“We are very excited to invite dealers to experience our new system for showcasing accessories in High Point,” said Samieian. “Our new program with Connie is a great opportunity for retailers to maximize their sales-per-square-foot in a minimal footprint envisioned by a designer who understands how to excite shoppers.”
