Abbyson Living Names Beth Dixon to New Sales Post

Full-line furniture importer Abbyson Living has named Beth Dixon to the newly created position of Vice President of Sales.

Dixon, who most recently was vice president at upholstery importer Man Wah/Cheers, will be responsible for expanding Abbyson’s current container direct program, which the company said will bring product innovation at competitive prices to key retailers.

The sales expansion includes motion and stationary upholstery in fabric and leather, as well as case goods and home accents.

“We are very excited to have Beth on board the Abbyson family,” said Rodd Rafieha, Abbyson Living’s Senior Vice President. “Beth has the years of experience in both upholstery and case goods that we were looking for in order to continue our growth in all retail and design channels. As vice president of sales, Beth will certainly enhance our processes and partnerships with retailers across the entire United States.”

Dixon has been in the furniture industry for 20 years, in positions ranging from retail buyer to vice president of sales and marketing. Prior to Man Wah/Cheers, she spent six years with American Home Furniture and nine years as an independent sales representative.

“Abbyson is an exciting company with a proven vision of seamlessly blending technology and digital media as a strong platform to launch fresh products and designs in the marketplace, always at incredible value,” Dixon said. “With my deep industry relationships and Abbyson’s commitment to meeting the competitive market challenges with fashion-forward, quality furniture, I am looking forward to our growth together.”

In addition to hiring Dixon, Abbyson has made several other recent hires. Scott Ellyn, former executive of Lenovo, is the new Vice President of sales for E-commerce; Iman Shahrokh has rejoined Abbyson’s staff as Retail Sales Manager; and Mehdi Gold has been promoted internally to Director of Key Accounts, dedicated to strengthening current key partnerships and facilitating sales growth.

The company is returning to the High Point Market later this month in a 22,000-square-foot showroom in space C-1156 of the International Home Furnishings Center.

In addition to 300 new product designs, eight full-home collections, 13 product categories and a full range of home furnishings resources, Abbyson is launching a series of digital selling programs and services for designers and retailers.
