FastFact: Furniture Trails only Clothing, Footwear in E-Commerce Growth

Since the recession bottomed out in 2009, much of the furniture industry's sales growth can be traced to e-commerce sales.
Since 2009, e-commerce sales have leaped 168%, while sales at brick-and-mortar stores have grown only 13.8%, according to Impact Consulting Services, parent company of Home Furnishings Business.
