Zuo Canada Signs Lease for Permanent Toronto Showroom

Zuo Canada, the Canadian arm of U.S.-based contemporary furniture and accessories resource Zuo Modern, has signed a lease for a new year-round showroom in the International Centre in Toronto.

The 4,900-square-foot showroom is located in the Centre’s Hall 1, which houses a number of permanent furniture showrooms.

International Centre is home to vendors showcasing indoor and outdoor furnishings; lighting and accessories for Canadian designers, architects and retailers, and is also home to The Canadian Furniture Show – the largest furniture tradeshow in Canada (http://www.canadianfurnitureshow.com).

“We exhibit each year in June at the Canadian Furniture Show and love the response we get from attendees but wanted to expand our exposure with a permanent showroom,” said ZUO Canada CEO Michael Revah. “By being open to the trade Monday through Friday, we will be able to triple our sales while offering customers our newest introductions without having to wait a full year to see what’s new.”

He said Zuo unveils new products every three to four months, and the new styles create excitement that should bring in designers and retailers to touch and see the new collections.

“We also plan on hosting events and holiday promotions, plus floor sample discounts when we are changing the designs,” Revah added.

The International Centre is the only privately owned trade and consumer show and conference facilities in Canada, boasting six halls and more than 500,000 square feet of exhibit space.

The new showroom will offer Zuo indoor and outdoor furniture, lighting, mirrors and accents. The designs will focus on emerging trends and introductions from the companies four distinctive collections: Modern, Pure, Vive and Era.

“I am very proud of our Zuo Canada family and the success that co-owners Michael and Benjamin have developed over the last nine years,” said Luis Ruesga, CEO of Zuo Modern. “I never imagined the decision to partner with them would become as successful as it has.”
