Industry veteran Mike Fisch has been named Vice President for Strategic Business Development for fabric converter and textile resource The Mitchell Group.
Based in the company’s Niles, Ill., headquarters, Fisch will be responsible for supporting existing customer growth as well as developing strategic growth plans for new customers and markets.
He reports to his brother, Mitchell Group President Bill Fisch.
“Mike brings an entrepreneurial spirit that is a perfect fit for Mitchell,” said Bill Fisch. “The opportunity to work with him again is not only exciting on a professional level, but on a personal level as well.”
Mike Fisch’s experience and technical expertise will enable him to work with customers and marry their growing technical needs with Mitchell’s focused capabilities, not only in upholstery, but in other markets as well, said Ann Brunett, executive vice president.
“As our product offerings become more sophisticated and diverse, Mike’s ability to identify and present exciting opportunities to our customers will be critical,” Brunett said.
Prior to joining The Mitchell Group, Mike Fisch was Vice President of Industrial Sales for Uniroyal Engineered Products, a leading manufacturer of vinyl coated fabrics. He was responsible for major technical OEM accounts, providing product development based on manufacturing and market use application. He was instrumental in expanding Uniroyal’s national restaurant chain upholstery business.
Previously, he was Sales Manager for O’Sullivan Films, Inc., a film and artificial leather solutions company. At O’Sullivan, Fisch was tasked with creating strategic business plans and market penetration in key non-automotive market segments, including the company’s entry into the contact upholstery market.
