Woodard Partners with Traditional Home and House Beautiful to Feature Showhouse Collections

Woodard, the 150-year-old iconic outdoor furniture company known for their quality craftsmanship of iron, aluminum and all season wicker outdoor furniture and accessories, has partnered with Traditional Home and House Beautiful magazines to transform outdoor areas into welcoming spaces.

As the outdoor furniture sponsor for three chic showhouses, located in Napa Valley, New Orleans and Atlanta, Woodard furniture was featured in outdoor courtyards, porticos and loggias, as well as indoor rooms.

“Collaborating with the showhouse designers has been a very rewarding experience,” stated Bill Herren, Woodard Creative Director. “It has been enlightening to see our furniture used in creative ways in gorgeous residential settings. Consumers look to these publications for upscale design inspiration, which we know adds instant credibility to our brand. Additionally, the exposure through social media and upcoming editorial coverage greatly increases our visibility.”

Traditional Home inspires its 4.7 million design lovers to reinterpret classic elegance in a thoroughly modern, personal way. Woodard has worked with designers on two Traditional Home sponsored showhouses, the 4th annual Napa Valley Designer Showhouses last fall and more recently the Southern Style Now Showhouse in New Orleans. In the Napa Valley Designer Showhouses Woodard collaborated with designers to add charm to the front porch, deck and backyard of three historic properties in the northern California Wine Country. Backyard spaces featured Oasis and Montecito woven groups along with several woven chaise lounges for relaxing as the Van Dyke aluminum group welcomed guests to the front porch. The project will be featured in the October 2016 issue.

In the first ever Traditional Home Southern Style Now Showhouse, in the heart of the New Orleans Uptown District, participating designers and artists, all originally from the South, lent their contemporary vision and southern traditionalism to the 15-room historic home which served as the centerpiece of the inaugural Southern Style Now Design festival. For this renovated house the designers felt that the Sheffield iron collection was well suited for the Dauphine Suite balcony and the aluminum Isla collection along with the iron Gelati Bistro arm chair were perfect for the master suite balcony. The front porch also highlighted the Sheffield collection. The designers choose the popular aluminum-framed Delphi collection for both dining and relaxing in the courtyard. The extensive editorial feature will be  in the May 2017 issue.

The House Beautiful’s 9th annual Kitchen of the Year

took place in the Buckhead neighborhood of Atlanta, Georgia in May. The newly constructed home included a mudroom and shower, which required all-weather furniture because of its rust-proof durability.  They used a pair of Isla ottomans to perch on in the mudroom and the aluminum Wyatt Flex ottoman in the mud bath. The spacious kitchen and family room opened up to the loggia in which the woven Bay Shore sectional was the ideal choice and the Bay Shore chairs with Salona aluminum frame ottomans greeted guests on the front portico. The home will be featured in the October 2016 issue of House Beautiful.
