Ekornes and IMG USA to Coordinate Sales and Operations

Ekornes, Inc., manufacturer and marketers of motion recliners and sofas has announced President, Peter Bjerregaard will assume responsibility for IMG USA to manage the sales, marketing and distribution activities of the brands Stressless and IMG. The goal is to strengthen and grow the IMG business in the USA.
Both brands are owned by Ekornes ASA of Norway.
Bjerregaard will be supported by Todd Swiler of Ekornes as well as Per Boye of IMG. IMG in Canada will remain with Karl Woll, who will also handle already established direct container customers in the USA.
The IMG office and distribution center will remain in Corona, California. Runar Lorgen will remain in charge of operations out of the Corona facility.
Bjerregaard and Lorgen will report to Nils Gunnar Hjellegjerde who has been appointed President of IMG USA.
“We are very excited about this opportunity to grow the motion recliner business in the US,” says Bjerregaard. “The potential sales business is unlimited. We are currently looking for independent sales reps to support existing retailers and open new accounts.”
The former president of IMG USA, Jim Dobry, retired last month.
