Legends Furniture Expands Domestic Manufacturing and Warehouse Facilities

Domestic case goods manufacturer, Legends Furniture, is nearly doubling the size of their Tolleson, AZ. based manufacturing and warehouse facilities.
Legends Furniture has experienced 26 years of consecutive growth. With this most recent wave of increased demand for US made product, Legends is taking proactive steps and positioning themselves to meet both current and future demand.
“Since we started manufacturing back in 1990, we’ve been forced to move 4 times because we outgrew our facilities,” said Rick Schmidgall, Owner, Founder and President of Legends Furniture, Inc. “The last time we moved in 2005, we bought more land than we needed so we would be able to continue to grow without actually moving and disrupting our production”.
The large scale, tilt slab construction project adds onto the existing facility without interruption. Because no land purchase was necessary and the cost effective nature of tilt slab construction, the entire project came in under 4 million dollars. Ground was broken on April 30, 2016 and the project is expected to be complete by September 1.
“We’re all very excited about this new chapter for Legends Furniture. We will be able to capitalize on the opportunities this expansion will create”, said Tim Donk, Director of Marketing for Legends Furniture. “We will not only have significantly increased our production capacity, but we will also be able to ramp inventory levels of both our import and domestic products, effectively providing shorter lead times to our customers”.
