RevCascade today announced the launch of an innovative marketplace automation platform that enables brands and retailers to easily leverage the massive and growing $700 billion global online marketplace channel.
By automating what was previously a manual and inefficient process, RevCascade is enabling any brand to easily plug in to hundreds of e-commerce sites through one simple integration, while also enabling retailers to launch, operate, and scale their own marketplaces.
“As brick and mortar retail continues to struggle, more and more retailers are launching online marketplaces” said Josh Wexler, Co-Founder and CEO of RevCascade. Co-Founder Andrea Tobin continued, “However, managing product, inventory, and transaction data between brands and retailers is fraught with friction, which holds the market back. RevCascade has developed a solution for both brands and retailers to help them make more money, save time, and stay in total control of their business objectives.”
Online marketplaces (commonly referred to by traditional retailers as “drop ship” or “vendor direct” programs) represent a large and growing segment of the $1.3 trillion global e-commerce market, with marketplaces such as Alibaba, Amazon, and Ebay generating more than $700 billion in retail sales. While the number of online marketplaces continues to grow and is expected to reach 1,000 by the end of next year, the process by which brands join the marketplaces is manual, linear and time consuming, requiring complicated integrations with back-end systems.
RevCascade’s marketplace automation platform is an easy to use solution that enables any brand to easily and rapidly list, sell and manage its products on any online retail site through one simple integration. Similarly, RevCascade enables any retailer to build a marketplace with both existing and new vendors. In RevCascade’s private beta, the highly scalable platform has already connected 50+ brands and 50+ leading retailers, with a focus on apparel and home.
RevCascade's powerful, yet simple platform, offers brands, retailers and consumers numerous advantages. Brands can now broaden their distribution network, gain new customers and increase revenue. Retailers limit inventory risk, increase revenue and build brand loyalty by offering customers an extended aisle of products. Consumers gain easy access to additional products from their preferred retailers.
“One of the biggest challenges GloDea faces is finding ways to automate processes to work more efficiently," said Patrick Cherix, President of International Business at GloDea. “RevCascade's ability to customize their services to our needs allowed us to streamline our business, save time and ultimately increase sales and revenue. After seeing immediate results, we decided to fully engage with the RevCascade platform for all of our products and transactions across all of our retailers. RevCascade got our attention with the services they offer, but won us over with their outstanding customer service and partnership.”
“RevCascade has simplified the way we work with our vendors, enabling us to dramatically increase the number of products we offer to interior designers and consumers," says Juliana White, Co-Founder and CEO of Tressle.com, one of the fastest growing wholesale marketplaces for interior design. Co-Founder and COO Fatima Yusuf continued, "Our current process of onboarding vendors, uploading products, and managing transactions is filled with a lot of manual integration work. By removing this friction, RevCascade empowers us to focus on rapidly scaling our business with current and new vendors."
Led by Josh Wexler, a serial entrepreneur responsible for building several global companies including cloud-based advertising automation platform The Rubicon Project (NYSE RUBI), RevCascade’s executive team combines world-class experience in building and scaling business to business marketplaces, retail, and cloud based systems. As the designer and founder of fashion handbag brand Marla Cielo, Andrea Tobin inspired the vision for a platform to deliver a better way for connecting brands and retailers.
