DirectBuy, the savings club that guarantees members the best prices on top brands for their home and lifestyle, has been recognized on the InformationWeek Elite 100 – a compilation of the top business technology innovators in the United States.
Coming in at No. 25, this is the first year for DirectBuy to earn this prestigious honor.
This past year, DirectBuy implemented a unique approach to Business Intelligence (BI) by reinventing its membership base for the digital age. With many retailers using historical data to create a detailed picture of past performances, DirectBuy employed various cutting-edge BI initiatives, which transformed its key operation strategies. DirectBuy’s application of predicative and prescriptive analytics led to the development of new business endeavors that better suit the needs of today’s shoppers.
“We’re proud to be selected to the InformationWeek Elite 100 list and to be recognized for our innovative Business Intelligence efforts, which have become a true business enabler,” said Armin Roeseler, CIO of DirectBuy. “The benefits we have received through this technological investment have been significant, as DirectBuy has been able to better determine business outcomes for numerous functions, such as providing better customer service, reducing marketing costs, improving supply chains, and more.”
The InformationWeek Elite 100 tracks the IT practices of the nation's most innovative organizations and examines the business practices of these firms across core areas of operations, including technology deployment, IT budgets, business technology infrastructure and strategies.
