ATGStores, a Lowe's company offering home furnishings and design solutions online, pulled together a designer house showhouse furnished and designed completely online in Seattle.
The Seattle Showhouse features furnishings and décor from ATGStores.com, online interior design services from Decorist and installation by Porch.
ATG's Seattle Showhouse brought together Decorist's top Seattle-based, nationally recognized designers to recreate eight rooms in a modern home in Seattle's Queen Anne neighborhood.
Seattle designers Brian Paquette, Massucco Warner Miller, Pulp Design Studios and LindHesse Design designed the living room, dining room, family room, office and foyer, respectively; Ashley Redmond designed the kitchen; Katja O'Brien and Melissa Schenck designed the girls and boys rooms, respectively; and New York designer, author and ATGStores.com spokesperson Alexa Hampton designed the master bedroom.
Designers had less than two weeks to shop for furnishings, design layouts for the rooms, style the home and source additional decor elements by Seattle artisans to add local flair.
The Seattle Showhouse represents a strategic partnership between the three companies that helps consumers create designer-quality living spaces without leaving their homes, through the ATGStores.com website. Now, ATG offers direct access to interior designers from Decorist as well as installation services and professionals from Porch.
"Expanding our retail offering with interior design and installation solutions from Decorist and Porch gives our customers all the tools they need to create the house of their dreams, from concept to completion,” said Michelle Newberry, president of ATGStores. “The Seattle Showhouse project brings these partnerships to life by showing consumers how easy it can be to create the perfect living space with our products and services.”
This is the second virtually designed showhouse for Decorist. The company’s first was in San Francisco.
"By including two additional virtual services — extensive, well-designed and affordable furniture and décor, and professional installation — this Showhouse is a true reflection of the disruption in the furniture and interior design industry,” said Gretchen Hanson, CEO of Decorist. “We're thrilled to be a part of this fun and beautiful demonstration to consumers of the affordability of professional online interior design.”
Porch is an online business that connects consumers with individuals and companies that can do maintenance and improvements to homes.
"At Porch, we are focused on making it easier than ever for homeowners to connect with quality professionals to get their projects done," said Asha Sharma, COO of Porch. "When you are able to create a platform where people can find the inspiration they desire, the products they want, and a meaningful connection with a local services professional, you can fundamentally change the way people live in their homes. This is an exciting time for our industry and we are thrilled to be working with both ATGStores.com and Decorist to showcase the potential for what the future holds."
The Seattle Showhouse, located at 167 Prospect Street, Seattle, Wash., will be open to the public Saturday, Jan. 30, from noon to 5 p.m.
