Furniture First to Showcase Interactive Program in Las Vegas

Retail buying group Furniture First will introduce an interactive program interface at its Las Vegas Market showroom.

A 49-inch touchscreen kiosk will give members access to information offered through Furniture First’s 165 vendors. Market specials and best sellers will be available on several programs and summary sheets will be available for all suppliers. Members will be able to print information on demand or bundle it for download on a tablet or computer to review at their convenience.

The group is currently renovating its newly purchased office space in Middletown, Pa. Renovations are expected to be completed in time for the organization to move in mid-March.

“There’s plenty of room to grow in the new office headquarters,” said Art Scholet, owner of Scholet Furniture in Oneonta, N.Y. and chairman of Furniture First’s board of directors. “When the board gets together for our in-person meetings, we will be able to hold them in the large conference room at the new office, instead of at a hotel. It’s big enough to fit all of the board and the senior staff. This will allow us to interact and collaborate.”
