Case goods vendor Palu Ltd. is shuttering its business citing increasing costs in the furniture industry.
The 10-year-old company, based in Seattle, made the announcement Tuesday afternoon. The company’s most notable collections include Copley, Montour and Orleans.
“We’ve enjoyed over 10 wonderful years in this business, but changes in the industry as a whole, along with increasing expenses and overheads, make the enjoyment and profitability of such an undertaking all the less viable,” said Peter Scheetz, president. “After heavy consideration and review, it is with great unhappiness that we are winding down operations.”
The company is looking to sell its inventory to its valued customers.
“We truly have some of the best customers, and we are saddened we’ll no longer have the pleasure of working with them,” Scheetz said. “As thanks to our customers for their support through the years, the remaining inventory is at a discount. We are also e-mailing weekly flash sales with steep discounts on certain items.”
Discounts are offered to the trade only. Interested customers can sign up for flash e-mails by sending their reseller documentation and e-mail addresses or by registering online for a web account on the company’s website.
