Arhaus to Triple Headquarters Size in Ohio

Cleveland-based Arhaus, a national home furnishings retailer, is tripling its headquarters size in Ohio with offices, a distribution center and warehouse under construction at 51 E. Hines Hills Rd. in the village of Boston Heights, Ohio.

The 770,000-square-foot facility is scheduled to be operational by next March with the estimated cost expected to exceed $40 million.

“This is truly a monumental milestone not only for the business, but for me personally,” said John Reed, CEO and chairman of Arhaus. “My vision has always been to expand Arhaus into a nationally coveted brand. This new facility will help us continue to grow and provide our customers with the best quality home furnishings to enhance their homes and lives. The timing is particularly poignant to me as we will move into this new facility in 2016, our 30th anniversary year.”

Reed and his father, Jack, started Arhaus in 1986 in a historic warehouse space on Cleveland’s East Bank of the Flats and it has grown into a national brand with 57 store locations in 23 states.

The Hines Hill Road building will consist of 650,000 square feet of warehouse space and 120,000 square feet of dedicated office space. It will house Arhaus’ product assortment and staff of nearly 400 in Northeast Ohio. The retailer employs 1,140 employees across the country.

“We continue to add new categories and expand our offerings within existing categories in order to respond to our customer’s growing home furnishings needs,” said Greg Teed, CFO of Arhaus, who is spearheading the Boston Heights project.

Arhaus has opened eight new stores this year including locations in New Orleans, Phoenix, Sarasota, Fla., Leawood, Kan., Scottsdale, Ariz., Torrance, Calif., Hillard, Ohio, and Manhasset, N.Y. It will finish 2015 with 61 store locations across the country.
