Zuo Modern Honors Joan Harvey at Las Vegas Market

Zuo Modern lost friend and representative Joan Harvey in April and honored her with a memorial service during Las Vegas Market on Aug. 2.

As a granddaughter of the Simmons Mattress owner, she began working for Simmons Mattress 40 years ago, becoming one of the first women in the furniture industry. Her career included positions as vice president of sales for Robinson & Robinson’s Furniture, national sales manager for Sofatrend and a long relationship with Leathertrend.

Most recently, she was a sales representative for Texas with Zuo Modern.

“We had great plans for the future, Joan and I,” said Luis Ruesga, CEO of Zuo Modern. “She was one of the most passionate persons for Zuo and I am not sure what I am going to do without her. I will always remember you. We miss you.”

A company statement said to know Joan was to love Joan as she was a smart, funny, kind and loving woman who was as passionate and dedicated to her family and friends as she was to her work.
