Zuo Modern plans to open a 50,000-square-foot warehouse facility in Guadalajara, Mexico, in July.
The company broke ground on the warehouse three months ago for its Zuo Mexico division headquarters and warehouse.
Once fully operational, the facility will have the capacity to fulfill orders for Mexico and South America with output similar to the company’s 60,000-square-foot Miami facility. There, the company receives between four and seven containers a week.
“To have this new facility up and running by July is an incredible advantage for our Mexico and South American business,” said Luis Ruesga, CEO. “Not only will we be able to handle the drop-ship orders for our larger Mexico accounts, but all of our local retailers will be able to pickup merchandise on a weekly bases.”
The new facility will include a Zuo showroom and offices for Zuo Mexico sales and corporate office staff. The building will allow the company to hire additional staff.
“To share this accomplishment with our Zuo Mexico and U.S.A. team is a dream come true,” said Hector Fregoso, Zuo Mexico owner. “To have out-grown our original facility so fast, is quite a feat. This new warehouse will include state of the art wireless capabilities throughout and software integration that will streamline our shipment processing and lead times.”
