Tempur Sealy to Expand in Maryland

The company has leased a newly constructed 615,000-square-foot manufacturing and distribution facility. The move will create 120 jobs adding to the company’s 112 positions already in the area.
Tempur Sealy will received $650,000 in conditional loans to assist with project costs.
Maryland’s Economic Development Assistance Authority and Fund will provide $400,000, and Washington County government will provide the company with $250,000.
The company will relocate its Williamsport, Md., operations to the new building and invest about $5 million. Assembly of Sealy and Stearns & Foster goods will take place in the factory, Distribution of products for the Tempur-Pedic, Sealy and Stearns & Foster brands will also be housed in the new facility.
