Broad River Plans Headquarters in S.C.

Charlotte, N.C.-based Broad River Furniture plans to invest $12.6 million to establish a corporate campus and distribution center in Fort Mill, S.C.
The company, an Ashley Furniture HomeStore licensee, plans to employee 200 people at the facility. Broad River Furniture operators 17 stores in North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia and employs more than 500 full-time workers.
Plans call for a 174,000-square-foot facility to open in November. The retailer will bring employees from its corporate offices and distribution center in Charlotte under one facility.
“Fort Mill is the ideal location for our new campus,” said Jonathan Ishee, CEO. “Along with our new cross-dock facility in Spartanburg, (S.C.), this new location will accommodate our growth to about two and a half time our current volume, and we will finally have all of our corporate associates together in one location.”
