The company said it is in negotiations with manufacturers and retailers in 11 countries to grow its business outside of the U.S. Customatic is talking with companies in Saudi Arabia, Canada, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Costa Rica, Austria, Mexico, Panama, Dubai and the Bahamas.
“The interest that the international bedding community has expressed presents great opportunities with technology and innovations that the adjustable base category can offer,” said Phil McCarty, partner with Customatic. “As the United States continues to innovate with adjustable beds, we are excited to further expand and build mutual, international partnerships with retailers and wholesalers, ultimately spreading the category popularity worldwide.”
Phil Sherman, partner with Customatic, said foreign buyers shopping the Las Vegas Market embraced the adjustable bases.
“Part of what is so attractive to international buyers is that adjustable beds are shown to raise the average unit selling price for companies,” he said.
