R&A Marketing Marks 30th Anniversary
Advertising and marketing services agency R&A Marketing celebrated its 30th anniversary with a two-day educational round table event this month and by creating the R&A Hall of Fame.
More than 40 retail store fronts attended the R&A Round Table, which was held to allow retailers to network and learn about new marketing trends.
“The Round Table was designed to help furniture retailers and current R&A Marketing clients understand and embrace the new trends, challenges, and important issues that the home furnishings industry faces as it continues to evolve,” said Kyle Doran, president of R&A Marketing.
The event examined strategy shifts necessary due to social media—creating interest, harvesting intent and nurturing leads into customers. The round table concluded with a collaborative session of four smaller round tables focusing on four different topics. Each table then shared their best practices on staffing and recruitment, promotional offers/tactics, specialty competition and Web sites.
The company’s newly launched R&A Club was created to recognize the partnerships R&A Marketing has created with its retail clients.
When clients partner with R&A Marketing, they officially join the club. Milestones are reached at the one-year, five-year, 10-year and Hall of Fame levels.
“Since signing up with R&A, almost all of our months were better than the previous year, and most of them significantly better,” said Larry Monk, FWDG in Beaufort, S.C. “Since our local economy is not substantially better than it was last year, the only major change I can attribute the increase to is R&A. Plus it sure is nice having someone else address all the social media management for us, as well as all other media.”
Three members were inducted into the R&A Hall of Fame at the Round Table, including Star Furniture in Clarksburg, W. Va.
“My family has been doing business with R&A Marketing for over 20 years,” said Clayce Spurlock. “R&A helped us when we were a single store doing under $500k in sales, and R&A has been our partner every step of the way. Even with a down economy, we have met and exceeded our goals. R&A handles 100 percent of our marketing, and they are the professionals we count on."
In addition to Star, Rick Doran and Janine Doran, R&A founders, were inducted into the Hall of Fame.
The company has also opened a satellite office in Charlotte, N.C., to build enhance its customer service to East Coast clients.
“With Charlotte being a main hub for travel all across the country (especially on the east coast), it only made sense to have an R&A presence there,” said Kevin Doran, CEO of R&A.
